Remembering

Monday, November 4, 2019

2:00 – 3:30 pm

$15

Remembering is a heart-wrenching play based on the book, My Eyes Looking Back at Me: Insight into a Survivor's Soul. It is a commanding story of a Holocaust survivor, written with compassion and sensitivity by biographer, Menucha Meinstein.

The challenging life of Leah Cik Roth, a pre-World War II orphan, uncovers indomitable courage of survival as she fights her way out of depression and despair toward renewal. Through four concentration camps, Leah learns to develop sustaining resilience as she protects others around her. Even in the face of quivering fear, we are encouraged to be loving and kind, promoting peace in our complicated and diverse world.

Prepare to be mesmerized as professional child and adult actors depict vignettes from Leah's life, teaching us lessons gleaned from her heroism.

Remembering is under the direction of New York master drama teacher, Joanie Edwards, director and teacher of Aventura's Little Theater School.

“Worry changes nothing; action accomplishes everything.” ~Unknown
